Saskatchewan Women's Retreat

Guest Speaker: Mary Beckingham.
Mary, Paul & their 5 children were CBM missionaries in Kenya for 2 years. Their stay was cut short by a horrific vehicle accident. Mary is now working as a Research Assistant at Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Vancouver. Mary’s story will definitely challenge us to lean on God’s love and grace as we face the challenges of our own lives. Watch for brochures/registration forms.

Why Retreats?

Women are very busy and sometimes the only way they will take a break is to get away from home—from the phones—from the “TO DO” list.

Bring a Friend

Most retreats are now planned with plenty of free time to spend with a good friend or friends. Time to go for a walk and talk without a thought about the kids! And don’t forget those evening chats that can continue as late as the two of you like!

Time—Place—Cost:

It is difficult to suit everyone’s needs. Some like luxury, some like to rough it. Some do not want to travel in wintery weather—but fall and spring is a busy time for our farming community.

Local Retreats can sometimes work to suit the needs of the community more easily. Many churches like Faith Community Baptist in Claresholm, AB and Emmanuel in Saskatoon have a wonderful retreat for their own women in early June.

Fifteen Women can have as good a time as 150 women—so don’t let numbers be your criteria. Just plan a get-away and DO IT!
