CBM STEP program, we are inviting women from across Western Canada to
participate in a mission trip to Kenya on October 12 - 29, 2007. The cost for
this trip will be approximately $3500 - 4000 and will include flight and
accommodation. For more information, contact Moreen Sharp at pmsharp@telus.net

THE GREAT CANADIAN BIBLE STUDY 2007!
Once again, Baptist Union Women will be joining with women from Ontario, Quebec
and the Maritimes to take one week in January to enter into a common Bible study
together while supporting a common mission cause. This year, we will be studying
life of Esther as a concubine in the court of a Persian king. We will look at
how this woman overcomes an incredibly oppressive situation to be used by God to
save her people. This study will challenge us to look at the areas of injustice
that God may be calling us to address and act upon.
How does the Great Canadian Bible Study work??? We simply ask that you download
the study from our website and during the month of January, gather with a group
of women for a couple of hours to do this study together. We invite each woman
that participates to donate a Toonie toward the mission project of Canadian
Baptist Women. Once again we will be putting this year's offering toward the
Guardians of Hope ministry of CBM which works at combating AIDS in Africa.
Your donations will not be receipted for tax purposes. Once you've collected the
offerings, make a cheque out to Women in Focus, and mail it to Alice Sowden #208
2520 Dingwall St., Duncan BC. V9L 2Y9
